How long should I expect a moto g device to survive?

I got moto g5 and its warranty is still ongoing for a year. There's some issues it has with crashing daily, and I'm gonna get it warranty fixed at some point...

I want to have a new phone before this breaks, because if I gotta get a phone the same day, its gonna cost me twice as much as it is going to cost me if I am monitoring for special offers.
