Motorola Moto G 4G — Sim network unlock pin

Hi all,
First time here,i have recently bought a used Moto g 4g and it says on insertion of sim (Sim network unlock pin) needed,i have no idea of the previous carrier and i would like to know if anyone else has experienced this problem and maybe know if there is a work around for it???,i have looked at the unlock code route but that way requires the previous carriers name to be able to even find a code.

There is one Pin for Sim also. I think you will need to contact your service provider to know the exact process.
